To improve India’s electric vehicle EV Infrastructure, Charge Zone, a Gujarat-based provider of EV charging infrastructure, recently revealed ambitions to collaborate with significant Indian automakers. Charge Zone will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors, Volvo-Eicher, Ashok Leyland, and Maruti Suzuki, according to the company’s founder and CEO, Kartikey Hariyani.
Hariyani underlined the importance of the alliance with Tata Motors and said that the latter would make an announcement about it. This announcement would cover both passenger vehicles (PV) and medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles (MHCV).
Owners of electric vehicles may now access public charging EV Infrastructure thanks to ChargeZone’s relationships with top original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including MG Motors, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, Kia Motors, and Audi. These partnerships also help provide energy storage options for drivers of automobiles.
Charge Zone has started a fresh investment round of USD 125 million, which is anticipated to be finished by the following summer, in order to support its ambitious objectives. With the help of this money, the business will be able to create its newest electric mobility platform, called Billion Electric, and expand its network of charging stations.
As part of the Billion Electric platform, Charge Zone and Ashok Leyland will work together to deploy electric trucks for mid-mile mobility, up to 500 km in length. It is anticipated that this partnership will be formally announced before the year ends.
In his discussion on the difficulties in developing a strong EV infrastructure, Hariyani outlined several typical roadblocks, including locating suitable sites, making sure there is enough electrical load capacity, and ensuring dependability on highways. Because Charge Zone supplied ADNOC Abu Dhabi National Corporation, a significant participant in the Middle East’s oil and gas industry, with their cutting-edge Charge+ Cloud technology, their expertise in this field has gained recognition on a global basis.
The operating system for Charge Zone’s charging stations is their in-house developed Charge+ Cloud technology, which provides a smooth, automated charging experience. ChargeZone is using this cutting-edge technology to transform the EV charging industry in India and throughout the world.
