ICE Electrical Engineer

We are growing faster than ever and are in search of a qualified ICE Electrical Engineer who will be the responsible design lead for harnesses and electrical systems for our current ICE products.

Location:

New Philadelphia, Ohio

Responsibilities:

  • Review specifications and select appropriate electrical components
  • Implement customer design changes including part selection, harness changes, validation and drawing updates.
  • Create the design and release of electrical schematics/diagrams, manufacturing designs, 2D prints and other documents (BOM, Work Instructions, etc.) as needed
  • Create ECN’s to document and release electrical changes
  • Lead the design of electrical architecture, power distribution, wiring, and electrical integration
  • Create troubleshooting and repair instructions for new products and provide training for warranty and field service personnel

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with internal combustion engine (ICE) and supporting electromechanical components
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical systems troubleshooting and repairing
  • 5+ years of electrical system design and development
  • CAD experience (AutoCAD and CREO)
  • Strong knowledge of automotive architecture and systems
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering required and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or associated technical field a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Must be organized, with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience with APQP process
  • Familiarity with related regulations, FMVSS/SAE standards, and practices

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • May be subject to random drug and alcohol testing
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection required in manufacturing areas
