This position is part of a team developing next generation powertrain embedded control systems. As a key member of the team, you will help define requirements, contribute to the definition of electronics hardware design, design embedded system software architecture and algorithm solutions, define test plans and perform validation testing to confirm that system and functional requirements are met. In this role, you will be responsible for working with team members and your engineering manager to estimate development, resources and timing to achieve the desired results. You will have the opportunity to be mentored and trained by senior-level embedded controls engineers and software architects to help grow your overall expertise and you will be expected to train and mentor less experienced engineers. You will work with engineers located in other locations in the U.S. This position requires demonstrated leadership on software and controls engineering projects.
Develop and lead the team of embedded control system engineers

Support marketing team with technical inputs
Help operations team set up the office/infrastructure/team/operations in Pune
Help define embedded system level and algorithm requirements to meet product performance and reliability requirements.
Help define and improve embedded controls standards and processes, and contribute to industry technical papers and conferences.
Invent and develop embedded control system strategies and lead architecture design to achieve solutions.
Use debugging and simulation tools to efficiently perform design iterations and optimization.
Verify solutions created by you or other team members through simulation, sub-system, hardware-in-the-loop and vehicle level testing.
Drive implementation consistency across multiple resources contributing to the same embedded system architecture.
Document improvements to the engineering standard work processes we use to engineer our products.
Utilize FMEA process to enhance design robustness.
Contribute to the continued enhancement of Core Embedded Software to support additional product features.
Develop validation and verification test plans at a unit, sub-system and vehicle level to fully validate requirements.
Analyze vehicle data from test and customer vehicles to investigate, identify, and resolve issues and performance complaints.
Degree in Mechanical, Computer, Electronics or Electrical Engineering discipline with major in Control systems
Deep understanding of software development cycles and processes.
Understanding of automotive powertrain and experience with on-vehicle embedded software testing and validation including Software-In-the-Loop, Processor-In-the-Loop, and Hardware-In-the-Loop.
Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols and calibration toolchains and processes.
5+ years’ experience in automotive control systems development
3+ years’ experience in model based design using Matlab/Simulink
Demonstrated ability in algorithm design and writing equivalent codes in C/C++
Working knowledge of Powertrain, Automatic transmissions, ADAS or Electrified vehicles is a plus
