Low Voltage Electronics HW Design Engineer

We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Engineer who is experienced within ECU (Electronic Control Unit) design and who have experience working within the automotive field.

  • Pune, India

Role and  Responsibilities

  • Develop new electronic designs for ECU (Electronic Control Unit) products for use in current portfolio and for future propulsion systems.
  • Develop schematics, BOMs (Bill of material) and other technical documentation
  • Apply BOD, BOP, BOT and defined engineering standards procedures and methodologies to execute project activities
  • Support test and validation team
  • ECU HW development mainly focuses on Circuit development cycle, starts from conceptualizing of hardware architecture to testing of DV samples to supporting in vehicle testing adhering to functional safety standards ISO26262.
  • Design and develop electronic systems and components, including circuit boards, processors, and memory devices
  • Work on the entire product development cycle, from initial concept to final product. Some of their responsibilities include: 
  • Create detailed circuit designs, including schematic capture and board layout 
  • Experience in selecting and integrating ICs, gate drivers, sensors, and other relevant components.
  • Prototype testing and analysis, including EMI, EMC, UL, and CE compliance 
  • Designing and developing components such as printed circuit boards (PCB), processors, memory modules, and network components
  • Testing hardware prototypes and analyzing and interpreting performance data
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications

 

Qualifications  and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or similar
  • Proven experience within ECU (Electronic Control Unit) design 
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a hardware design engineer or similar
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Allegro, and Altium
  • Experience with functional safety ISO26262 and FMDEA
  • Strong understanding of electronics hardware design principles
