Maruti vs Mahindra SUV sales
In July and August, Maruti was India’s top SUV manufacturer. Mahindra, though, jumped out in front in September.
Every month, the SUV war in India gets more exciting. The major SUV producers in the nation at the moment are Maruti Suzuki India, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors, and Kia India, however, Maruti Suzuki India and Mahindra & Mahindra appear to be vying for supremacy.
In July and August, Maruti was India’s top SUV manufacturer. Mahindra, though, jumped out in front in September.
In comparison to Mahindra’s 36,205 vehicles, Maruti sold 42,620 SUVs in July. Mahindra sold 37,270 vehicles in August, while Maruti sold 41,658. Mahindra outsold Maruti in September, clocking 41,267 units to 40,843 for Maruti.
The XUV700, Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Thar, XUV400, XUV300, Bolero, and Bolero Neo are all part of Mahindra’s lineup of SUVs. SUVs from Maruti include the Grand Vitara, Jimny, Brezza, and Fronx.

In September, Mahindra sold 5,417 units of the Thar, 8,555 units of the XUV700, 5,491 units of the XUV300, 11,846 units of the Scorpio (N and Classic), and 9,519 units of the Bolero (including Neo). 439 units of the electric SUV XUV400 were sold during the month.
In September, Maruti sent 15,001 Brezza cars, 11,736 Grand Vitara units, 11,455 Fronx units, and 2,651 Jimny units in wholesale quantities.
