Job Description:
As an XIL Engineer, you will play a vital role in the modeling of physical systems for braking systems, vehicle dynamics & tests, chassis components, and other areas, as needed. You will work cross-functionally to coordinate, develop, and deliver robust engineering solutions aligned with business objectives. You will be a key team member for XIL simulation and will be expected to network and influence work on a local and global level.
Location: Greensboro, NC
Responsibilities:
- Performing modeling of physical systems and automating scripts for test automation.
- Integrating the specific tools to the XIL software (dSPACE SW Automation Desk, ControlDesk, ModelDesk).
- Designing, configuring, and applying XIL simulators for ECU testing needs
- Developing specialized support for integrating several ECUs and contributing to the global architecture for a common testing platform.
- Supporting root-cause analysis to resolve technical product quality issues.
- Integrating deliveries from others and securing quality readiness before release.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Computer Engineering is required
- 3-5+ years’ experience in MIL/SIL/HIL simulation systems
- Model-based development with MATLAB and Simulink
- Experience working with in-vehicle communication networks such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay
- Programming in C, C++, Python, or other comparable languages
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training:
- Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Computer Engineering preferred
- Embedded control systems (mechatronics, automotive control systems)
- Understanding of heavy-duty trucks
- Knowledge of Vehicle Control Systems
- Experience in troubleshooting electrical hardware and software issues.
