Business Development Head

EXPERIENCE : 

7+ Years | Business Growth, Strategic Partnerships, Automotive & Embedded Engineering

Roles and responsibilities:

We are seeking a Business Development Head to lead Dorleco’s growth strategy across geographies, industries, and service lines. This is a critical leadership position for someone who blends sharp business instincts with a strong grasp of technical offerings, especially in automotive and embedded engineering.

This individual will drive revenue, market presence, and strategic partnerships—building long-term value through a mix of commercial foresight, solution thinking, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Market Development

  • Define and lead business growth strategy across automotive, eMobility, marine, and micromobility domains
  • Identify new verticals, clients, and service offerings aligned to Dorleco’s strengths in embedded systems, vehicle engineering, and digital platforms
  • Build and manage high-value pipelines across OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, tech companies, and innovation partners
  • Expand Dorleco’s presence in the USA, Germany, Canada, and other key international markets

Commercial Execution

  • Lead all business development functions: opportunity pursuit, proposals, commercial negotiation, and account ownership
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure alignment of customer expectations with technical execution
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for Dorleco’s core products
  • Structure long-term partnerships and managed engineering services models for strategic customers

Technical Strategy & Alignment

  • Understand and articulate technical offerings in vehicle controls, embedded software, simulation tools, and electrification systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and product leaders to position Dorleco’s capabilities in line with market demands (e.g., software-defined vehicles, AUTOSAR stacks, real-time control systems)
  • Translate RFIs, RFQs, and customer discussions into actionable product/service frameworks
  • Ensure that technical proposals and delivery roadmaps align with business commitments

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance BD team spanning regions and domains
  • Drive collaboration across engineering, finance, delivery, HR, and product teams for efficient project ramp-up and customer onboarding
  • Create structured reporting and forecasting processes to maintain visibility on BD metrics and performance

Industry Engagement & Brand Leadership

  • Represent Dorleco at global expos, industry conferences, technical symposiums, and customer events
  • Drive visibility for Dorleco through thought leadership, white papers, co-branded showcases, and strategic alliances

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related fields
  • 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or solution sales in engineering or automotive domains
  • Strong commercial understanding of embedded systems, vehicle electronics, simulation, and eMobility trends
  • Proven ability to build C-level relationships and lead high-value deals to closure
  • Familiarity with delivery models such as captive teams, managed services, and turnkey development
  • Experience working with global clients, especially in the US and Europe
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
