Raptee exhibits a high-voltage e-bike at the Chennai Global Investors Meet

April 2024 is when the electric motorcycle is scheduled to debut. The company said that it is equipped with a high-voltage drivetrain and a ton of features and technology to provide passengers with an exhilarating ride.

New Delhi: At the most recent Global Investors Meet (GIM) in Chennai, Raptee Energy, a creative electric vehicle start-up, took center stage by showcasing the first transparent image of their electric motorcycle. With its advanced technology and high-voltage drivetrain, the e-bike, which is scheduled for release in April 2024, promises to provide riders with an exhilarating experience.

On January 7 and 8, 2023, GIM drew the finest start-ups from Tamil Nadu and international investors interested in funding the state’s developing technology and electric vehicle industries. The event, which attracted participants from thirty different countries, established the state as a center with a strong infrastructure for manufacturing electric vehicles (EVs), microchips, and industries.

The Tamil Nadu government was successful in securing an overall investment proposal valued at INR 6.6 lakhs crore over the two-day GIM event.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our first-ever motorcycle showcase,” stated Dinesh Arjun, CEO and co-founder of Raptee Energy. Global suppliers and investors were drawn to the TN GIM, and there was a lot of excitement around our stand! Everyone was interested in the notion that we were more than just a vehicle integrator—instead, we had developed the full stack in India. Our in-house high-voltage powertrain not only meets the long-standing need for dependable e-motorcycles but also produces amazing torque and a steady top speed. Raptee Motorcycles will be the only two-wheelers compatible with the rapidly developing CCS2 public charging infrastructure since they are designed on a High Voltage power train.

“We are overwhelmed by the response for our first display of Raptee in the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024,” stated Jayapradeep Vasudevan, CBO of Raptee Energy. Potential vendors and investors have shown a great deal of interest in working with us. All age groups were represented in the consumer base, which was primarily made up of bike enthusiasts and college students. When the product is launched in a few months, we anticipate that the positive response from customers will result in strong demand. Right now, our crew is ecstatic and anticipating a thrilling launch.

At the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet, Raptee unveiled its first transparent bike model, demonstrating its dedication to innovation and bolstering the state’s economy. For INR 85 crore, the company has already established its 4-acre first factory in Chennai. The state-of-the-art R&D center and production capacity of up to 1 lakh units per year will make this facility the primary hub for Raptee’s production for the next 24 months. It will employ 470 people for manufacturing and design innovation, including a specialized line for assembling battery packs.

With its strong drivetrain, Raptee’s electric motorcycle can reach a high speed of 135 kmph and a practical range of 150 km on a single charge. Any CCS2 charging station offers hassle-free recharging; it just takes 45 minutes to achieve 80% capacity or 15 minutes to charge 40 miles. With a 3.5-second 0 to 60 acceleration time, this car outperforms its conventional gas-powered rivals.

The streamlined profile of the Raptee is intended to give a breathtaking and frequently surprising level of performance, in addition to its impressive torque and steady peak speed. The first production-ready model has been successfully delivered by R&D, and a complete launch is scheduled for April 2024.
