Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition launched at Rs 4 crore

The limited-edition Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition was today introduced by Mercedes-Benz India with an ex-showroom price of Rs 4 crore. Only current Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes-AMG, and S-Class buyers will have access to this extremely premium vehicle.

Only 25 of the 1,000 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition cars that will be sold worldwide will be for the Indian market. Beginning in Q1 2024, the luxury performance SUV will start to be delivered.

The vehicle’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, which produces 585hp and 850Nm, is its powerhouse. With all-wheel drive, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 220 kilometers per hour.

The AMG emblem and the Mercedes Star are first seen on the Grand Edition in Kalahari gold magno. The performance brand’s Affalterbach logo is also inscribed in Kalahari gold magno on the bonnet. The spare wheel ring, the Mercedes Star in the spare wheel inlay, the optical underride protection in the front, and the inlays in the front and rear bumpers are all finished in this color.

The unique version is equipped with 22-inch AMG forged wheels in tech gold with a cross-spoke design, matte black central locking nut, and tech gold Mercedes star.

Black and gold contrast is the defining feature of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Grand Edition’s cabin. On the black door sill trims, which have lighted edges, is an AMG symbol that welcomes you into the car. Black Nappa leather from G Manufaktur is used for the seats’ finish, and there is contrast gold stitching. The backrests include gold-edged plaques with the AMG logo engraved on them. The floor mats have a black finish with gold stitching on them as well.

The color, interior, and wheels of the AMG G 63 Grand Edition are all set configurations. For consumers to customize, a few customizable options are offered.

There is a cult following for the AMG G 63 SUV all around the world, especially in India. We are thrilled to introduce this special Maybach, AMG, and S-Class customer-only limited AMG G 63 Grand Edition. According to Santosh Iyer, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, the AMG G 63’s potent powertrain, AMG Ride Control suspension, and AMG-specific driving programs position it as a unique luxury performance off-roader.

“This strong-spirited SUV’s premium interior and ample equipment further emphasize its exclusivity. With the expressive and constrained Grand Edition, we are honoring the G 63’s enduring success around the world. The AMG G 63 continues to be India’s most imposing performance SUV and a similarly sought-after luxury lifestyle vehicle, he noted.
